Spirit Gulch Hike

Finally went out on our first official hike country hike this weekend.  Hiking season has begun!  We went by Red Mountain Pass and had many beautiful viewpoints of Red Mountain from our hike.  Here are some of the views we got to see today.

There was an old mine that had many interesting things to be seen

Many artifacts were scattered around the site and we found a little campsite that looked like they had a bit of a collection.

There were many waterfalls along the way to and a number of small streams we had to cross.

It was still a little early for a good display of wild flowers, but we did see some interesting plants along the way.

All in all it was a beautiful hike and this will be a trail that we will probably come back to a few more times just to see the wildflower displays over the summer.
